1. How do I inquire about a horse?
Contact Tristen Baroni at 406-560-5857 or through the contact form on the horse’s page. Please include the horse’s name and Hip Number.
2. Why are sale prices not listed on the website?
We do not have prices listed online because each horse is unique. Pricing depends on several factors such as training level, pedigree, and more. We prefer to discuss pricing directly with buyers so we can answer questions, build a lasting relationship, and make sure the horse you are interested in is a good fit.
3. What do the numbers next to the horse’s name mean?
The numbers help us track which mare the horse is out of and the year it was born. You’ll see these numbers in the brands. Buyers can also look up the mare under the Broodmares tab.
4. Where are you located?
Our ranch is located in the SouthEast corner of Colorado (near Pritchett/Kim area). We are not far from the New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas borders.
5. Can I come try a horse?
Yes, we encourage that! However, because we are a working ranch and located in a very rural area, please contact us to arrange a time that works best!
6. Do you ship horses?
The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping, including costs and a reputable hauler.
7. Are the horses registered?
Our horses are all registered through AQHA. If a registration is pending, it will be marked on the horse’s personal page.
8. What disciplines are your horses best suited for?
Our horses are bred for versatility. Many go on to make strong rope horses, working cow horses, ranch horses, and solid all-around performance or trail horses. Because of their bloodlines, they tend to adapt well to a variety of jobs.
9. Can we have them halter broke before we pick them up or have them shipped to us?
If you would like to have them halter broke prior to leaving the ranch, that can be arranged for an additional training fee. If that is something you would like, we encourage you to talk to our trainer, Tristen.
10. Why do they have so many brands?
We brand purely for record-keeping. We raise around 30 colts a year, so it’s important to know which foal belongs to which mare and sire. Each mare has a Hip Number. After foaling, we brand the foal’s right butt cheek with the mare’s Hip Number. The left butt cheek is branded with the year the foal was born. For example, a mare with Hip Number 10 that foaled in 2025 will have a foal branded with a “10” on the right and a “5” on the left. We also place our ranch freeze brand on the front left shoulder of every horse.
